Who makes New Holland is a pretty common question we hear at BRIM Tractor. It’s not surprising since New Holland is part of the larger CNH umbrella which includes Fiat & Case International and their tractors are made around the world.  While there is certainly an “America-First” mentality when it comes to tractors here in the States more and more brands built outside of the US have found success.

Certainly coming from a generation where Japanese technology, German cars, and Swedish interior design took the US of A by storm, I don’t see a more international product as a downside. Instead, great products can be made anywhere. Still New Holland is…

‘Merican Made

Based out of New Holland, Pennsylvania, the iconic blue tractors of New Holland have long been a part of the American story; with a history dating back to the Fordson Model F in 1917. Even now the factories throughout the US build many of the Hay & Forage Tools, Tractors, and skid steer loaders that bear the New Holland badge. For instance New Holland, PA is the production facility for Hay & Forage applications. Fargo, ND is the production facility for articulated tractors like the T9. Grand Island, NE is the production facility for Hay & Forage equipment like the Speedrower® SP Windrowers and StackCruiser® self-propelled Bale Wagons. Racine, WI is the Production facility for the GENESIS® T8 tractor range. St. Nazianz, WI is the production facility for self-propelled sprayers. With Wichita, KS, New Holland’s production facility for skid steer loaders.

Going International!

Staying in North America, in Saskatoon, Canada, New Holland produces large planting and seeding equipment; while Queretaro, Mexico has been a key production facility for both tractors and components for over 50 years.

Across the pond in Basildon, UK New Holland’s tradition of excellence produces medium and high horsepower tractors and is home to the multi-award winning T7. Jesi, Italy produces specialty and low horsepower tractors while Lecce, Italy’s production facility builds telehandlers, wheel loaders, compact wheel loaders and backhoe loaders. For Haytools, Plock, Poland produces TC and CX5 & CX6 conventional combines, Roll-Belt™ round balers and headers; and Zedelgem, Belgium produces the CR REVELATION, the FR forage harvester, CX7 & CX8 conventional combines and BigBaler large square balers. Turkey, Belgium, France, Poland, Sweden, Austria, & Uzbekistan also have New Holland factories building specialized equipment, components, and implements.

While in Asia and South America, production facilities in China, India, Brazil, & Argentina build high horsepower tractors, balers and implements for their domestic markets.

International Power

Combining New Holland’s build quality with the best engines in the industry, their Workmaster, Boomer, and Powerstar series use Mitsubishi, Yanmar, Shibaura, and their own internal engine development team FPT Industrial to provide their customers with the power and reliability they need day in and day out. These leaders in Diesel technology are also matched by CNH’s experts on alternative fuel sources like Methane and Electric engines from its world-class facility in Basildon, UK which has been producing tractors and engines since 1964.
